The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.
Park Size: 390.26 Square Km.
Climate: Temperature ranges from 20-30 c and rainfall from 200mm – 700 mm, Two rain seasons: Long rains – March & April & short rains – Nov/ December.
When to go: All year round,Daily 6.00 am -7.00 pm including public holidays. No entry is allowed on foot and visitors will not be allowed entry after 6.15 pm
Widlife: Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dogs, Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Crocodile, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik- dik, Lesser Kudu, Nocturnal Porcupine and birdlife of over 600 species.

Details
Depart Nairobi at 0730hrs for Amboseli National park driving via the beautiful Athi plains. Arrive at your camp/lodge in time for lunch and check in. After lunch enjoy some time for relaxation before proceeding for an evening game drive. Amboseli National park is famous for the large herds of elephants and Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa”s highest peak providing a beautiful snow back drop. Return to the lodge/camp for dinner.Overnight at your camp/lodge on full board basis.
You will spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives or you could opt to head out for a full day game drive with picnic lunches from your camp/lodge. On this day, you will also have an optional visit of a nearby Masai village to learn more on Masai culture (at an extra cost). Later on return in the evening for dinner.Overnight at your lodge/camp on full board basis.
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon. Drop off at your residence.
